U.S. fear terrorist cyber attack

The U.S. government warned its stock markets and banking websites about a possible attack by a radical Islamic organization saying that the threat is not yet confirmed and doesn't seem to be an immediate danger. The home land security department spokesman Russ knocke said that this notice was issued after a radical terrorist group called in their djihadist website to attack and rack the American financial websites.

Knocke said that this matter is a routine one and that there is nothing to worry about, he also added that the threat was out of abundance of caution, thus there is no immediate threat to their homelands at that time. A government official said that this Muslim website calls for attacks against American economic sites because of the inhuman U.S. behaviour towards the Muslim prisoners in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba charged of activating for terrorist organisations.

The website aims to attack the U.S. financial websites by using viruses that can penetrate the sites and then destroy the data stored there. This alert was issued by the U.S. computer emergency readiness team. This latter is a partnership between private officials and the homeland security department which is specialized in warning the websites against any probable internet attack or virus outbreaks.

The question is: is it a real threat or just the U.S. Obsession about terrorism and their constant focus on the Muslim world after the attacks of September 11th?
