TROPICAL FOREST - Tropical forest of New Papua Guinea protected by Greenpeace. Greenpeace announces the installation of a forested camp to protect the third tropical forest of the planet. Greenpeace announces in a press release the installation of a forested camp in a party postponed by New Papua Guinea to help in the protection of the last tropical ancient forest of called Asia-Pacific « The forest of paradise ».
« Kunis, tribes of New Papua Guinea, invited Greenpeace to install a forested camp campaigning on their territory. This action will allow to speed up the demarcation of the territory of the tribe to preserve them from forested industry. » declares Stephen Campbell, responsible for campaign Forests Australia and Pacific of Greenpeace.

Volunteers of Greenpeace from the whole world are going to support three Kunis tribes to establish their rights on more than 300.000 indigènes hectares of territories by identifying, delimiting and cartographiant their borders. This demarcation will help them to protect their forest of destroying and illegal forestry development. Some years after the demarcation of the territory of Denis in Amazon which had allowed the recognition of their rights, Greenpeace help the communities of Pacific today.
Launching was announced by arrival, in the harbour of Moresby, the ship of Greenpeace Rainbow Warrior which was received by tribes and landowning owners during a ceremony of traditional welcome.
